The FollowUp is an Intranet/Extranet type
product which facilitates the planning and monitoring
of progress in the implementation of projects.
It involves a Web application developed in .Net and
3-tier technology, directly linked to EUROJOB3.5 (Estimates),
as well as to the encoding of Timesheets on PC, Mac
and PALM PILOT.
The FollowUp will become a key tool for
project managers and team leaders. It will enable them
to plan tasks to be accomplished as part of a project,
to allocate human resources to projects and above all
to control time differences between estimates made at
the beginning of the project and the time actually spent
on the project.
A project is broken down into processes,
and each process is then broken down into tasks. The
tasks are allocated to team members and quantified in
real time, while the process is allocated to an internal
and/or external (at the client) project manager.
The tasks can be performed at the same time or sequentially.
Users having access to the application
connect via a Web interface. Depending on their access
rights they can create requests (various requests to
be planned. It is therefore a system which can be opened
to clients, to allow them to enter requests, receive
an estimate electronically, confirm it and then monitor
progress with regard to the planning for their request.
